Grant Writing and Review

Meeting the funders criteria is only half the task. Ultimately any grant needs to serve the mission, vision and goals of the organization. A grant is one tool you can use in an organization’s development. My first question in researching any prospective grant is “how does this particular grant further the short or long-term vision for the organization.” Creating a program or activity just to meet a grant’s criteria is not in the best interest of the organization. Any grant has to also facilitate the advancement of the organization.
